It is with great sadness that the Aramini family announces the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Emilio Aramini passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, August 11, 2023. Emilio was the loving husband of Maria (nee Daniel) for 63 years. Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Antonia Aramini. He was the proud father of Joanne (John), Floriano (Tracey), and Amelio (Lorena).  He was the best Nonno to Natasha (Steve), Courtney, Marco, and Claudio and was the greatest Bis-Nonno to Noah, Calvin and Myles. He will be truly missed by all his family including all his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Born and raised in Treviso, Italy, Emilio made the journey to Canada to begin a different life and build his family.  He proudly continued to uphold all his beautiful Italian customs and traditions and fortuitously passed them on to his entire family.

We are grateful to all the staff at the Guelph General Hospital on the 5th floor Step Down Unit for all their kindness, support and dedication in Emilio’s care. A special thank you to Dr. Raso, Dr. Shende, Nurses Ashley, Kate, Laura and PSW Carla who made his final days with his family comfortable and peaceful. Thank you as well to Dr. Choong, Emilio’s family doctor, for his medical care for the last few years.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph (519-822-4731). A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 10:30am at St. John the Baptist Parish, 45 Victoria Road North, Guelph.  Inurnment will follow at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Catholic Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy or in lieu of flowers, donations to St. John Catholic Church (Guelph) or the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated.
