ARTS, Remigius “Remi / Mike”

Passed away peacefully at home on December 30th in his 84th year.

He was the beloved husband of the late Beverly Arts “Daly” for 53 years ; he leaves behind his children Graham and Stephanie. He was the very proud grandfather to Mélanie, Erik, Daniel, Claire and Noah.

He was a talented cabinet maker trained in the Netherlands, worked in interior design and owned his own contracting company for many years. In retirement, Remi loved to travel to Cuba, to spend time with his grandchildren, to learn new things, to paint and to write books and short stories. His grandchildren loved his quirky sense of humour and of course, his sweet tooth. Although he will be missed, we know that he is finally at peace.

Remi will be interred with Beverly at Woodlawn Cemetery this spring in a private family celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society and messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com.
