It is with great sadness that our family shares the news of the passing of Leata Ilene Ashby at the age of 92 on May 22, 2023. Leata was the beloved wife of 73 years to her husband Vernon. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Leata was the dear mother of Carol Pickup (Jim) and the late Marcia Park. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Bronwen Fluyt (John), Megan Pickup (Graeme Parke), and the late Heather Pickup, with whom she shared many happy times. She was the proud great grandmother of Parker, Payton, and Henry.
Leata was a loving, kind, and generous individual.
Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where private cremation has taken place.
