With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Helen Astins on March 16, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre surrounded by her family.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years Albert (2013). Proud mother to Carrie Sekenda (Steve), Mike Astins (Leigh) and the late Chris Astins (2005) and David Astins (1965).
Treasured Nana to Tom (Michelle) Kraus, Shawn Kraus, Jamie Kraus, Jess Gretorex, Sarah Sekenda, Kila (Jeremey) Kopitoski, Amanda Astins, Krysta (Chris) Astins, and Ali Cecutti. Devoted great Nana to 11 great grandchildren. Cherished sister to the late Terry Brown (2022) and Randy Brown (2022), survived by her sister in law Liz Brown. Predeceased by her parents Elgin and Gladys Brown.
Will be missed by all her nieces, nephews, wonderful friends and extended family.
Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, where the family invites friends and relatives to join for a Funeral Service on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00am in the Hart Chapel. A reception is to follow.
