February, 19, 1958 – January, 28, 2024

It is with great sadness, we announce the quiet passing of Terry at the Guelph General Hospital with his loving son, Dylan, by his side.

Terry had been bravely battling Aphasia Dementia for the past few years and although it was not the specific cause of his death, that horrible disease had caused enough suffering and he was ready to move on from this world.

Terry had thoroughly enjoyed the life he chose. He always did things his way - on his terms. His son, Dylan Attwell-Duval was his pride and joy and Terry loved being a hands - on dad to him. He also delighted in spending time with his entire family - especially at the family cottage at Sauble Beach - celebrating birthdays and holidays. In his prime, Terry was a consummate self - taught builder/renovator who admitted to a lifelong love of every type of tool! Terry also described himself as a "people person" and he truly liked interacting with people from all walks of life. He was so jovial and fun loving that it is not surprising he made many good friends over the years. And he experienced a myriad of good times with these friends - watching his favourite soccer team Liverpool; making wine; playing scrabble or chess and both renovating and vacationing at the cottage.

Terry's memory will be treasured by his son Dylan, sisters Sheila Zinken (Kim), Jacquie Arthurs (Steve), Kim Taylor, brothers Ray (Ann), Vince and sister-in-law Robyn along with his numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Terry was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Pam; brother Steve and brother -in-law Kelly Taylor. He will be interred with his parents at Woodlawn Cemetery later this year.

Terry's family would like to extend their profound thanks to the wonderful team of 7 East at the Guelph General Hospital. Terry spent the final few months of his life there and the staff were so kind and thoughtful and provided him with the best care. We sincerely appreciate your daily efforts to keep him happy and safe.
