BATES, Kenneth William

1926-2018 - Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Monday, August 6, 2018. 
Beloved husband of 69 years to Leona (nee Neilson). Loved father of Brenda, Bob (Brenda), Don (Sue), Lynne (Paul) and Steve (Kerry). Loving grandfather of seventeen and great grandfather of eleven. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Mary Bates, his daughter Heather and his sister Marjorie Jones. 
Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from noon until 1:30 pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 pm. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. 
We would like to give special thanks to the staff of Guelph General Hospital, the kind and loving PSWs from Closing the Gap, the nurses from ParaMed and are most grateful for the kind and loving treatment Kenneth received from Hospice Wellington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated.
