Leonardo Bellantoni, also known as Leo and Lenny, died in his sleep in the early hours of Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
He was born October 27, 1939, in San Giorgio Morgeto, Calabria.
He leaves behind his wife Dina of 55 years. Children Pietro (Monica), Frank, Vittoria (Dave), Lisa and grandchildren Santana and Elliot.
Leonardo also leaves behind his siblings in Italy Angelica, Giovanni, Teresina, and Natalina. He is predeceased by his brothers Orlando, Salvatore, Luigi, and Mikele. He is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews across continents.
For many years Leonardo was a licensed horse trainer at Flamboro Downs racetrack. He was also a welder by trade and a business person with his own pizzeria.
He always had a story to tell, which brought many laughs from his friends and family. He enjoyed playing the harmonica and card games. It was very hard to beat him playing a game of Scopa.
He will be dearly missed but will always be in our hearts.
The funeral will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Church on 409 Paisley Road. People can also attend remotely through the church’s website.
