Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Dianne Marie Bennett, in her 70th year, was the dear daughter of the late George Bennett (1984) and Eleanor (nee Wooder) Bennett (2003) and the brother of the late Terry Bennett (1995). She was the loving sister of Lenore (John) Quillman, the dear aunt of Trevor, Robyn, Alex (Rose) and Michael and the cherished great-aunt of Hayden Quillman and the late Mika Bray (2014).
Dianne was a teacher in Milton, Ontario for over thirty years. The family wish to extend many thanks to extended family and friends for their acts of kindness and their support. If Dianne’s life can be measured by the numbers of kind people who stood by her, her life was very rich and she was greatly loved. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Guelph General Hospital, at the Grand River Hospital (K-W) and at Hospice Wellington.
Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 8 – 10 a.m. A Memorial Mass will follow at Holy Rosary Church on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family.
