It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dino Berruti at the Guelph General Hospital on February 1st, 2022 after a brief illness, in his 81st year. He will be greatly missed by his adoring wife Bianca, sons Alex (Nadia) and Steve (Allison), and daughter Diane Hagarty (Jason). His guidance and encouragement will be truly missed by his treasured grandchildren: Mason, Matthew, Ava, Benjamin, Brianna, Cole, Noah and Adele. He is survived by his sister Adelina (late Luciano) Angiono, and his brother and sister in law Gino and Elaine Toso. He was predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Luigina, and brother Mario (Carla), and sister Elia. He was loved as a Zio, nephew and cousin to many family members, in both Canada and Italy.

Dino came to Canada in 1967 to marry his one and and only love, Bianca, and to start a new life together. In 1970, Dino opened Dino's Auto Body and his iconic sign is still seen outside the shop today. He grew the business from a humble beginning to flourish and become one of the best collision centers in Guelph. Dino was proud of his accomplishments in starting a business in a country where he did not know the language, or customs, and with only a few dollars to his name.

Dino had many passions starting with his love of fishing with family and friends at their favorite spots. He also filled his time following his favorite soccer team, Juventus. His heart was full when spending time with his Guelph Alpini Group. He was president of the Guelph chapter for over 20 years. He enjoyed organizing and executing events for the group but really thrived when mingling at social gatherings and events. But his most fun was simply being around the dinner table with his family. With chairs and plates full, Dino filled his glass with his homemade Dino's Vino and enjoyed the love around him. His grandkids gave him all he ever needed.
