It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of John Blacklock on January 16, 2022, at the age of 81.
John was a devoted husband to Carol, for 34 years and a loving father to his four children, Jackie (Richard) Broydell, Larry Blacklock, David Blacklock, and Michelle (Chris) Gillard. He was a very proud grandpa/Poppy to his grandchildren; Cody, Thomas, Daryn, Mia and Evelyn. He was predeceased by his parents William and Agnes Blacklock. He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Donna (Monty), Mary (Don), and Beverly.
John had a love for fishing, cheering on sports teams, and going for country drives. He will be deeply missed, but we know his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
Special thanks go to the staff of Guelph General Hospital, and Homewood Healthcare. Cremation has taken place; as per John’s wishes. A private family service to be held at the Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com. Donations in Johns memory could be made to the Alzheimer society.
A tree will be planted in memory of John R. Blacklock in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
