Bolton, Bradley John

Dec. 20, 1958 - Feb. 19, 2023

After a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer, the family & friends of Bradley John Bolton (of Erin) are grieving the loss of a great, kind, private, gentle, loving man. Surrounded by love and with family by his side, Brad peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 19th, 2023 at home in Guelph. A private church service and graveside burial occured on Friday, February 24th. Brad was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery beside his cherished daughter Kaitlin, his sweetest valentine (pre-deceased Feb 2012 after a 10yr debilitating struggle with MLD). They are together eternally shining amongst the sun and the stars.

Brad's mother Evelyn Walker (of Guelph), step-mother Linda (the late Fred, Oct 2010) Bolton (of London), siblings Brenda Bolton (of Stratford), Melissa Mantle (of Orlando, Florida), Jay & Ria Bolton (of London), David Walker (of Ingersoll), Norma & Tim O'Brien (of Guelph), Rick & Christina Bolton (of London), step-son Brandon & Jenna Recine (of Chatsworth), and namesake Dane Bradley Reeves (of Toronto) are all missing a big chunk of their hearts now.

His presence will be missed by his biggest fans who truely loved their Uncle Brad, Josh, Garrett, Samantha, Jesse, Abby, Freddy, Victoria, Paige, Violet & Nolan and his great nieces & nephews. As well as the four boys who knew him as "Grandpa Brad".

Brad's many life-long & great friends, cousins and coworkers are all missing this amazing man. There were jokes & stories shared over hot coffees, cold drink, great meals, road trips, traveling, camping trips cottages, portaging adventures & many fond memories created with this great man who lived life well.

The family would like to thank Dr. Finnigan, Dr. Morrison, the staff at Guelph General Hospital (7-East, ER, ambulatory care & oncology department), Dr. Lane-Smith at Headwaters Hospital in Orangeville, Dr. Cappel of East Wellington Health Team in Erin and Dr. Paul Mendonca. The kind, compassionate, attentive and respectful care given to Brad during his hospital stays and visits did not go unnoticed by the family. Thank-you to Dr.Shafir and the palliative home-care team (PSW, nurses, OT & PT) of Waterloo/Wellington. A very special thank-you PSW "Getch" for your exceptional care. Thank-you to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son's Funeral Home for your gentle and professional manner navigating the process. Much gratitude to Lynne Thackwray for presiding over Brad's service.

The family is extending an invitation to family & friends to join in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at The Guelph Legion from 1-4pm.

Donations to local Conservation Areas or Hospices in Brad's honour are encouraged by family.
