Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. He was 78.

Claude was born on September 19th, 1944 in St. Georges De Beauce, Quebec to Lucien and Ange Aimee Bourque.  He  was always known for his ability to fix and tinker with anything.  An engineer at heart.  He worked for 20 years for Denison Mines in Elliot Lake Ontario, before moving to the GTA where he continued to work as a building manager where he made many lasting relationships.   There were no strangers to Claude, just friends he hadn't met yet.

Claude loved the simple things in life. He spent time outside, and appreciated a beautifully manicured lawn. He enjoyed traveling, awful music and a cold beer or a glass of Pinot Grigio.  And, you can rest assured that at 3pm, he would be on his recliner, his balcony or catching up with friends and family on a patio, he never missed "Miller Time".  Anyone knew who Claude used him as their personal computer tech.  He computer mentored at the Evergreen Senior Centre and would even take calls from the seniors in the evenings at home. Claude loved nothing more than his family.  He also enjoyed spending time with his grown children and being a grand papa.  He was the family historian, being certain to document big events and every day occasions with lots of pictures.

Claude leaves behind his long time love Geraldine Anderson, two children, Vince (Dani) and daddy's girl Melanie (Brian), his two step children Tara (Brad) and Michael (Anna).  He will be missed by his grandchildren: Matthew, Braden, Abigail, Nickoli, Reiley, Cooper, Cody, Alyssa, Michaela and Aiden.  Claude will also be missed by his sisters Celine (Edward), Diane (Philip), Danielle, Louise (Jean Rock), Pauline (late George) and many cousins, neices and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Lucien and Ange Aimee and two brothers, Richard and Alain.

There will be a private viewing for the family on Friday April 14th, 2023.  There will be a celebration of life at 34 Couling Cresent in Guelph, ON on Satruday April 15, 2023 starting at at 1pm to welcome friends and relatives.
