Retired from the University of Guelph. Bob loved travelling, particularly to Mexico where he delighted in combing the beaches with his metal detector. As a 30-year member of the Legion he took great pride in his involvement in the Poppy Campaign. Bob loved cards, and darts, doing puzzles at the kitchen table and spending time with his wife and family.
He loved to complain about all the dishes he had to do when the whole family got together for the holidays... but he wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Bob is survived by his wife Sherran and his children Michelle Walton, Lynn Watson (Ben), Stacy Bowers and Robert Bowers (Kara-Lynn), his sister-in-law Mary Weatherston and his sister Eileen. His grandchildren Jade (Tim), Joshua, Nathaniel, Jakob, Avalon, Jonathan, Kahlan, Noah, Zachary and Zayn will dearly miss their Papa. Bob is predeceased by his parents Hugh and Florence Bowers and his brothers and sisters: Dennie, Nancy, Hughie and Marg and brother-in-law Bev.
