Born 03 June, 1931 in Montreal, passed away in the company of family and caring PSWs at St. Joseph’s Long Term Care in Guelph, Ontario on 09 May, 2023.

Georgia was a quiet, deeply thoughtful, fun-loving friend, dedicated associate to co-workers, and extraordinarily open-minded Mom, who took whatever life presented in stride, with grace and fortitude.

In her teens, Georgia and her twin sister Gloria would sneak into the balcony to listen to the young Oscar Peterson as he practiced piano in the auditorium of Montreal High during lunch hours.

Her love of jazz and opera were life-long.  At their 50th wedding anniversary, she and Stanley Frank Brenegan were serenaded by a jazz ensemble in a marquis tent in Caledon on a lovely evening in Spring while re-uniting with many friends who had spread across the country in the ensuing years.

Georgia and Stanley moved westward in retirement to Vancouver after lengthy careers in medical administration (Georgia) and marketing (Stanley), where new friends, road trips, and cherished time with visiting family enriched their lives.

Georgia and Stanley moved back to Ontario to be closer to family in the last chapter of their lives. Georgia lived on after the death of Stanley in the early days of the pandemic, often having conversations with him while gazing at a framed photo of the two of them happily embracing on a terrace; the Tuscan hills in the distance. Lives well lived. Loved by so many.
