At the Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Ed Broeckel in his 79th year, was the son of the late Alice and Henry Broeckel. He was the loving father of Debbie Bond (Todd Rawson) and Shelli McFadzen and her late husband Rob McFadzen. He was the proud grandfather of Shelby Bond (Ryan Nadeau), Spencer Bond and Robbie McFadzen and great-grandfather of Daxton Nadeau.
Ed was the dear brother of Elaine and her late husband Alan Ford. Survived by his nieces Elizabeth Peart and Marylou Ford and also by many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Ed was always quick with wit and had a great sense of humor and a big heart.
Ed spent his life being there for anyone who needed anything. His time with Community Distributors and Onward Willow helped so many people in his community. His family was so proud to share him with everyone he helped!!
Private cremation has taken place. The family will receive their friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 1 p.m. Guests are asked to RSVP their attendance for the visitation and for the funeral service by going to the link found below the death notice on the funeral home website. Masks are mandatory and social distancing guidelines are to be followed.
