It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Arie Buddingh peacefully with family by his side at Hospice Wellington on Friday August 5, 2022.  Arie Buddingh, born in Brunssum Holland was in his 89th year.  Forever loved by his wife Donna (Rodowski).  Sadly missed by his daughter Dianne Buddingh and his son Jack Buddingh (Sherry).  Dear Gramps of Jason (Diana), Daniel, Jasmine, Jake, Jadine, and Shane; great grandchildren Alyssa and Austin.  Arie will be missed by his sisters Helen Bard (Brian) and Hennie Arkell (d. Gord).  Predeceased by his parents Jack and Catherine Buddingh and his sister Dorothy.

Arie immigrated to Canada in 1954 from Holland.  As a young man Arie was an avid soccer player and played semi-pro in Holland.  After coming to Canada Arie played and coached Kossuth Soccer and developed a love of curling.  Arie and Donna ran Crawford’s TV in downtown Guelph for over 24 years.  Arie loved music, dancing and singing.  The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Wellington and Sunnyside Community for their compassion and wonderful care during the last part of Arie’s life.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial contributions to Hospice Wellington or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
