It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected
passing of Dorota Bunko (Januszkiewicz) on Friday July 16th, 2021.
Beloved wife of 30 years to Julian. Cherished mother to Matthew and
Julia, and close person to Tiana. Dear sister to Bogusia, Mirek, Piotr,
and Mariola. Godmother to Natalia, Nicholas and Adrianna. Predeceased by
her parents Wilhelm and Valeria and by her brother Grzegorz. Dorota will
be dearly missed by all her other family and her abundance of friends
and colleagues.

Dorota dedicated her life to raising her family and to helping others as
a Registered Nurse in the ICU and Step Down Unit at the Guelph General
Hospital. Her colleagues will remember her dedication, compassion and
exceptional work ethics. Guelph will not be the same without her kind
energy, sense of curiosity, and selfless love. The bonds that Dorota
cultivated with others were so genuine; her door was always open to
welcome anyone who needed a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on, or
simply a warm place to call home. She was incredibly passionate about
surrounding herself and building meaningful connections with others. She
also had a natural gift for putting everyone at ease. These
opportunities to enrich relationships with the people in her life were
her driving force. The separation, due to the pandemic, weighed on her;
she missed being able to host, celebrate, and care for the people she
loved. There is nothing we can say to capture the essence of her spirit
– words simply aren't enough. The loss is immeasurable, but so is the
love left behind.
