Burgess Tim

October 28, 1991 ~ January 30, 2021

It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the sudden passing of Timothy Aaron Burgess (aka Borghese), at home, on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the age of 29 years.  Cherished son of Richard and Janet Burgess (nee LeBlanc).  Loved brother of Vincent and Mitchell Burgess and their families.  Much loved nephew of Jane Morrison, Judy LeBlanc, Joe LeBlanc (Dana), Jeannette Stephan (George), Josephine LeBlanc (Brian), Vangie Morrison and Butch Burgess (Carol).  He will be cherished and never forgotten by many cousins.  Predeceased by his grandparents Joseph and Greta LeBlanc, Harvey and Carrie Burgess and by his uncle Timothy Burgess.
Timmy was born October 28, 1991 in Guelph, Ontario.  He worked at Independent Paper.  He had a way of lighting up the room with his contagious smile and making a lasting impression on people within minutes of meeting him.  The things he did to make people laugh will continue to do so for years to come as those who loved him look back at many amazing memories.  Timmy was an excellent accordion player just like his poppy.  We take comfort knowing that he is now resting with his grandparents whom he missed dearly.  We like to think that he is somewhere playing a tune and having a shot of whiskey with his poppy.
He was an avid Juventus and Italy soccer fan and cheered for the Ottawa Senators and Minnesota Vikings.  He was also a proud leader and coach of a hockey team.  His friends would describe him as the ‘glue of the group’ that held them together.  He was the rock they could always lean on whenever they needed support to cope with any issues they were facing.  Coach Tim aka “The Legend” will be dearly missed by Micheal DiPaolo, Antony “Tonino” Galluccio, John Garaffa, Orazio Peluso and many other great friends.  Til you all meet again in the “Back Of A Cab”.  We love you Timmy, you will never be forgotten, you will be here forever in our hearts.
Private visitation will be held at GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph, on Monday, February 8, 2021 by invitation only. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Please understand that we will be following social distancing protocols due to COVID-19.  Face masks are mandatory.  We ask that you do not visit if feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 and further ask that you respect the direction of the funeral home staff. If desired, memorial contributions to Children’s Foundation, Guelph Wellington, 87 Waterloo Ave. Guelph ON N1H 3H6 519-826-9551 or to Guelph Wish Fund For Children, 75 McNab St. E. Elora ON N0B 1S0 519-820-9474 would be appreciated.
We invite you to leave your memories and donations online and they will be forwarded to the family.
