It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Burns at the age of 81 on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 in Guelph, Ontario.

Keith was the dearly loved husband of Carole Anne (McClune) Burns for 57 adventurous years. Loving and very proud father of Jonathan and his partner Maria, and Katherine and her partner Jimmy. Keith was adored and loved by his grandchildren Joshua, Andrew and Morgan who will cherish the memories of their grandad forever. Dear brother of Brian Burns (late Penny) of England, and brother-in-law to Helen McClune of Mississauga, Pam Kenton (Stan) of England and Clare Hoebjerg (Kimble) of Mississagua. He will be deeply missed by extended family and friends in Canada and abroad.

Born in Lincoln, UK, to the late Robert and Violet Burns-Begg. Keith was an avid soccer player in his youth and worked for many years in publishing before venturing to Canada to raise his family and continue his career.

Keith was known as a renaissance man and took great interest and pride in building and landscaping his homes in Canada, and passing his skills onto the next generation.

Keith will always be remembered for his cheeky sense of humour and his kind gentle spirit, who was always willing to hug with open arms.

A memorial service will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 11 a.m., with reception to follow. Donations to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated by the family. Cards available at the funeral home or condolences can be made at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com.
