Butler Mabel MM

Of Guelph, passed away peacefully under the loving care of her children and supported by the amazing Nottingham team at The Elliott Community on Friday, May 6, 2022, just 3 weeks prior to her 99th birthday.

Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Douglas Butler (1972).  Daughter of the late Harold Nash, former Chief of Guelph Police and Winnifred Nash.  Loved Mother of Barb Hesch, and Dave (Sue) Butler.  Loving grandmother of Kim (Steve) Granger, Chris (Kelly) Hesch, Lindsay (Jamie) Robinson and Brent (Courtney) Butler.  Proud great grandmother of Kylie, Kassie and Connor Hesch, Emily, Olivia and Jack Granger and Baby Beau Butler.  Predeceased by her brother Bob Nash, and sisters Daisy Randell and Marjorie Potter.  Also survived by brother-in-law, Doug Gilmour and many nieces and a nephew.

Mom was a lover of dogs, both show and rescue. Biscuits were always on hand, and dogs knew where to find her!  In her younger years, Mom was a very active member of Rundle Chapter #108 of the Eastern Star as an Officer, Worthy Matron and a proud 75-year member.

She cherished her family and her most treasured times were with them during holidays and for great-grand children’s birthday celebrations. Even to the end, Mom never forgot a birthday and made sure everyone got their card.

The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of Nottingham, at The Elliott Community, for their love and care of Mom over the past four and a half years.

Cremation has taken place. To honour Mom’s wishes, the family will have a private celebration of her life.  Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.

If desired, memorial contributions can be made to The Elliott Community.
