Our Matthew was a kind soul who wore his heart on his sleeve for this family, friends and acquaintances. He was a graduate of the Community & Justice program at Conestoga College in June of last year. He quickly found employment at Homewood Health Centre in Guelph, a city he loved. He never got his driver's license, but tried a few times and those who tried to teach him, gave up. He loved his girlfriend Megan and hanging with his friends. Matthew was a sledge hockey enthusiast. He started his love for sledge hockey with the KW Sidewinders and later with the Woolwich Trashers in Elmira. He was still sledding in January. Matthew was the recipient of many elementary, high school, and college awards.

At Matthew's request, cremation will take place. A private family service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 with web cast viewing at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com. Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Donations in Matthew's memory may be made to the Woolwich Thrashers Sledge Hockey.
