CAMELETTI, John

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John “Jack”
Cameletti, peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus, Ontario, on
March 29, 2017 at the age of 85. Loving and devoted husband to Joanne for
62 years. Cherished father of David (Ramona) of Guelph and daughter Cathy
(late Kim) of Bolton. Beloved grandfather of Faith, Kirk, John (JD) and
Carrie. Dear son of the late Guiseppe and Libera. Predeceased by brother
Fred (late Emily) and by sister-in-law Jackie (late Chuck) Anderson. He
also was a very special uncle to 10 nieces and nephews and a great uncle
to many more.

John had a memorable 40 year career in education, starting in Sudbury and
culminating as Director of Education for the Sault Ste. Marie Separate
School Board from 1978 to 1991. He also served as Councillor for the City
of Sault Ste. Marie from 1991 to 1997.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jafferjee and the staff of Groves
Hospital for their compassionate care of John. A very special thank you is
extended to the staff of Caressant Care Retirement Home, in Arthur, for
going the extra mile for John during his stay there.

Visitation will take place at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home,
Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Saturday, April 8th from 9:00
a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Interment at Marymount Cemetery will follow at 11:30
a.m. A Memorial Mass will take place at his beloved church, St. Gerard
Majella, in Sault Ste. Marie, 211 Pentagon Boulevard, on Saturday, April
29th at 11:00 a.m.
