Don Campbell, age 82, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hospice Wellington on Monday, September 24th, 2018. Beloved husband of the late June Marie (Bell) Campbell (1985). Loving father of Marie Campbell-Fantini (Orlando), Sharon Campbell-Claessens (Peter) and Donna Beghin (Rob) all of Guelph. Proud Grandpa of Madison & Mackenzie, Jacob & Trent, Matthew & Lucas. Don was the former owner of the McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home (1974-1985), former member of the Kiwanis Club of Guelph and the former Chairman of the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal. He is an inspiration to all for his relentless determination, gentle kindness and positive outlook on life. Forever encouraged by his words, ‘where there is a will there is a way’.
A family service will be held at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be held at Reid Hall, Village by the Arboretum on Saturday, September 29th from 1-4 p.m. with words of remembrance at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Wellington or Guelph Humane Society (in honour of his Benji’s).
