July 25, 1938 - August 30, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Bernie Carpino announces his sudden passing at Saint Mary's Hospital on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. He was predeceased by his life companion Helga MacKay and will be missed by their family, Sue MacKay, Ava Leblanc (Gary), the late Nancy Hadfield (late Jim), Tom MacKay (Kathy), Mike MacKay (Rebecca Hine-MacKay), Scott MacKay (Rita), Renata McConnell (Blair) and Cory MacKay (Lisa) and their children. Predeceased by his parents Luisa (Tiano) and Antonio Carpino, survived by his siblings Gaetano Carpino (Rosa), Rosina Lopez (late Giuseppe) and Maria Lopez (Franco). He will be missed by his nieces and nephews Pina MacKinnon (Leo), Melissa Capone (Steven), Gina Bruno (Franco), Loredana Lopez (Andrea), Lisa Carpino (Thomas), Monique Carpino, Giuseppe Lopez (Maria Christina) and the late Gigino. He will also be missed by his extended Carpino family, predeceased by his uncle Giovanni and aunt Maria Carpino with whom he lived with for many years and shared a special bond. Bernie will be remembered for his generous nature, gentle spirit and sense of humour.

Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. on Sunday, September 4th from 1:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. with a service to follow in the chapel at 4:00 p.m. Guests are asked to please wear a mask for the visitation and Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Society Canada, Hospice Wellington or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
