CENEDESE, Imelda

Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, April 28, 2022 with her daughters by her side. Imelda (Fornasier) Cenedese at age 87 was the beloved wife of Attilio Cenedese (2010). She was the loving mother of Antonella, Carla and John McGrath and the proud and adoring Nonna to Gianna McGrath (Anthony Casciano). Imelda was the dear sister of Maria Pia Geromel (Antonio) and the late Gian Carlo Fornasier (Anna Maria). She will be remembered by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Mom had a strong faith and prayed the rosary regularly. She loved the mass and lifting up her voice in prayerful song.

She had a deep love for her family and took great pride in her home and gardens. In more recent years she enjoyed living in a retirement community and the friends she had there.

The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the 6 West staff at the Guelph General for their care. Special thanks to Stacey for her kindness and compassion.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph where the family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, May 1, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph on Tuesday, May 3 at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum. The family kindly request guests to please wear masks and social distance.
