After a long and happy life, Gord, in his 102nd year passed away at his Elliott Community home in Guelph on January 17, 2022.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Frances Chadder (Walker) (2018) after 77 of the happiest wonderful years together.
Much loved father of surviving children Paul (Sue) of Guelph, Marcia Scapinello of Grimsby, Shane (Mary Margaret) of New York and loving father-in-law of Gary Scapinello of Guelph, Heidi Chadder of Mississauga and Ernie Reid of Inisfil. Special Grampa of nine cherished grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Gord is survived by loving sister Ruth Clayton (Garnet) of Guelph.
He was predeceased by his parents John Wilson Chadder (1985) and Mary Chadder (Riddolls) (1959), and also by sisters Grace Newman (2004), Dorothy Clayton (2007), Isabelle Luft (2008) and Joyce Seifried (2010), as well as his precious daughter Sandra Reid (1974) and treasured daughter-in-law Jane Chadder (Harris) (1977).
Gord retired from the City of Guelph Transportation after 35 years of service and was still driving his car when 100 years old. He built the house that he and Fran lived in for 63 great years. They spent many of their retirement years travelling in their Foretravel motorhome.

Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid limitations, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
