On the morning of December 18, 2021 Jeff Chalmers passed away peacefully with his family at his side, a day shy of his 60th birthday. Jeff was predeceased by his parents Jessie (Brownlee) and Harold James Chalmers. He was the beloved husband of Maria for an amazing 30 years and the loving father of Michael (Christina) and Christopher. He was the brother of Dr. Jennifer Chalmers (Lloyd), Jamie Chalmers and the late Janet Wereley. Jeff lived his early years in Montreal and moved to Guelph in 1982 to attend the University of Guelph where he met Maria, the love of his life. Jeff was loved and will be fondly remembered by his extended family, John Mammoliti (Graziella) and Angie Bin ( Ray). He was a loved zio and uncle to his many nieces, nephews, and to his great nephew and nieces. He enjoyed gathering with his family and close friends. He was a happy, kind, gentle, generous, and loving man. With his sense of humour, he brought a smile and a laugh to everyone. The family would like to thank the amazing staffs at Hospice Wellington, and Grand River Hospital and would appreciate donations to both Hospice Wellington and Grand River Hospital, Cancer Care. Visitation will take place at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son-Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 10:15 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1 p.m. Guests are required to RSVP their attendance for both visitation and the service at gilbertmacintyreandson.com. Masks are mandatory and social distancing protocols must be followed. The family requests that all those attending must be double vaccinated. The service will also be livestreamed via ZOOM through the funeral home website. Private entombment at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery.
