Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Rashmi Shirish Clerk, dear brother of Atul and Anil Clerk. Cherished uncle to countless nephews and nieces, and a grand-uncle to their children. Shirish will be remembered fondly and with love by the many friends and family who knew him, over the course of a long life that took him from Uganda to India to (finally) Canada. His sense of humour, quick wit, incredible memory and gentle nature will live on in our memories. He also will be remembered for the positive impact he made on countless lives during his several-decades long career as an obstetrician in the Guelph area.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date when gathering in person can be done safely.
A private family service was held. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Shirish V. Clerk in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
