July 11, 1964 – June 1, 2019
John went home to be with his heavenly Father after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, June 1, 2019. He leaves behind his wife Denise, and children Kirsten and her husband Greg Andrews, Michael, Kara, Joshua and his fiancé Gina Lowe, and Grampy to Elise, Kai and Josephine, his mother Joan Cornish and brother Philip Cornish of Clinton.
He is fondly remembered by his in-laws, Michael and Saundra Kelly of Pennsylvania, brother and sister-in-law Darin and Deb Kelly of Wolfe Island, nephew Julian Kelly and nieces Caitlin Wagner, Josephine and Autumn Kelly, predeceased by his father Ewart Cornish.
John decided at a young age to live for the Lord and enjoyed serving for fifteen years on the mission field with New Tribes Mission (Ethnos Canada), especially the eight years in Papua New Guinea.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be made to Ethnos Canada in Durham. There is a Celebration of John’s Life for his family and friends on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 5:00p.m. at the Clifford Community Hall.
