On the morning of April 16, with the sun shining on her face, Jean (Breakspear) Cottrill (born May 11, 1930 in Mimico) went home to be with her loving Saviour. She was surrounded by her family. The family deeply appreciates all the wonderful caregivers at Royal on Gordon, Guelph General Hospital (4W), and Hospice Wellington.

Jean and Edward Cottrill (Huntsville) were married in 1951, and she was a cherished wife for 29 years until Ed died suddenly in 1980. Although she was lonely, Jean was a loving and strong mom who never wavered in her faith that God would provide in all things. Her children, Margaret (Stephen Doner), Robert (Brenda), David (Lynda) and Elizabeth (James Metcalf) knew they were loved and prayed for always. Her delight in her 18 grandchildren: Marianne (Jeff), Margaret-Anne (Niko), Jonathan (Bethany), Carolyn (Tim), David (Paige), Althea (Josh), Hannah (James), Benjamin, Christina (Blaze), Danielle (Sheldon), Jonathan, Benjamin, Andrew, Emma, Alex, David (Catherine), Laura, Victoria (Wes) and 28 great grandchildren was evident. Each baby and child was prayed over and she was interested in every detail of their life. We look forward to a grand reunion in heaven.
