Cowbrough, Linda Anne (October 23, 1951 to April 11th, 2023)

Linda Cowbrough (Dunseith), a loving mother, grandmother and wife, passed away in her 71st year at Guelph General Hospital peacefully on April 11th. Linda is predeceased by her husband Murray, father, Donald, mother, Hilda and brothers Terry, George and brother in law Bear. She is survived by her daughters Sarah (Matthew) and Heather (Eric), as well as her grandchildren Savannah, Annabelle, Sydney, Dominic and Stephanie. Linda was the first born of six brothers and sisters and is survived by Barb, Robert (Lynn), Kathy and sister-in-law Diane. Linda will be dearly missed by all of her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Linda will be remembered for her love of music and her dedication to Trinity United Church. She was an active member of the choir and congregation at Trinity for years and would rarely miss an opportunity to be at the church for a service or event. This led to a love of a local band Corduroy Road and the Gaither Gospel Band. She could often be found listening to music in her favourite chair or watching a musical performance. Linda was also an active volunteer, spending a lot of time at the local North End Harvest Market. Linda often reflected on a trip to Scotland she enjoyed with her church family, and a desire to one day return. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Guelph General Hospital and St. Joseph’s Health Centre – long term care facility for the excellent care that they provided to Linda over the past few months.

Linda will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. at the Gilchrist Chapel – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph. Memories will be shared beginning at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph General Hospital or the North End Harvest Market.
