It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Murray Curran on Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Guelph General Hospital at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Ginny Curran for over 50 years. Loving father of Jason (Becky), Jill (Chas) and Jessica (Nick). Proud and devoted grandfather of Tyler, Josh, Ali, Madison, River, Sammi, Kamryn, Eden, Harper and Mikayla. Murray will be remembered by his siblings Donna Doherty (Lawrence) and Christopher Harvey (Crystal), and brother-in-law Bryan Schoenfeld (Jo). Murray will be greatly missed by his many extended family members, friends and past colleagues.
Murray was a proud and long-time employee of the Upper Grand District School Board and the Ontario Universities Application Centre. He also enjoyed many years as a member and organizer of the Guelph Non-Contact Winter Hockey League.
A Memorial Service will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 1:00pm. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Lounge.
