Currie Jack MM

(November 26, 1939 – May 1, 2022) - Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital with his loving family by his side in his 83rd year.  

 Beloved husband of 61 years to Edna (nee Miskie) Currie.  Dear father of John and Paul (Dorothy Fair).  Will be sadly missed by his cherished grandchildren Sarah (Nicholas Valeriote), Lauren (Noah Weir) and Jeremy.

Jack was predeceased by his parents John Alexander Currie (1991) and Sarah Dorothy (1972).  He was brother to Midge (Meryln) Maltby (the late Don), Gail (Jacqueline) Pallagi (the late Les), the late Ronald and Laura Currie.

He was a special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by brothers-in-law Alan Arneill and Robert Stephen. 

 Jack worked for the Provincial Government Ministry of Health, as well as the Guelph Correctional Centre.  Jack was involved in many sports, working with young people in Guelph Minor Hockey.  Jack loved and enjoyed many sports of which he was a player, coach, volunteer in the community. Above all, Jack enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren while they were growing up, watching their sports and other activities.  We are grateful to have had him in our lives. 

 Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Thursday, May 5th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A private family service will be held on Friday.  

 Memorial contributions to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated. 

 Farewell dear children, my life is past. I dearly loved you to the last. Mourn not for me or sorrow take. But “LOVE” each other for my sake.
