It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ed Curtis, the eternal jokester, at Hospice Wellington on Sunday, March 18, 2018, in his 86th year. 

Beloved husband and best friend of 56 years to Anne (nee Gaebel). Loved father of Patti Curtis (Michael Chesters) and Tim Curtis (Stephanie Gruenig). Cherished grandfather of Ryan Curtis and Cole Curtis-Chesters. Also survived by his brothers Bob, Albert and Garry. 

Ed was a veteran of the Korean War.  He was born in Peterborough, and transferred to Guelph while working for GE and ABB.  Ed was a member of the Guelph-Wellington Men’s Club, the Guelph Country Club and St. George’s Anglican Church.

Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Friday from 1:00-3:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. 

A big thank you to all the wonderful caregivers that have worked with Ed over the last nine years, and special thanks to the nurses and staff at Hospice Wellington.
