It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Betty, at Hospice Wellington on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Leonard William Charles Dadd (1998). Loving mother of Charles Dadd, Leslie Dadd, Elaine Marucci (Frank) and Ellen Ducharme. Loved grandmother to Karen Perrault (Jason), Aimee Dadd, Richard Dadd, Robert Marucci (Melanie), Hayley Clark and Sarah Clark. Cherished great grandmother to Monica Ayres, Cameron Donkers, Lauryn and Natalie Marucci and Nicholas Desjardins and great-great grandmother to Keegan and Kaiden O’Kane.
Predeceased by her parents Elsie (1982) and Jesse Jennings-Grimwood (1988), sisters Vera Howitt (1982), Ruth Ryan (1987), brothers-in-law, Allan Dadd (1996), John Howitt (2002), Hugh Alton (2010) and Ken Hawkins (2016), sister-in-law Irene Alton (2014), niece Pamela Howitt (2004) and nephews Peter Ryan (2013) and Stephen Howitt (2013).
She will be dearly missed by her brother-in-law Phil Ryan of Langley, BC, sisters-in-law Mary Dadd of Guelph and Joyce Hawkins of Florida, many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Betty was a member of St. George‘s Anglican Church. She belonged to the Chi Rho Fellowship, prayer shawl and helped out with funeral luncheons.
Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 from 6-9 pm and one hour prior to funeral service on Wednesday, August 1st from 10-11 am. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on 11 am. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Internment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Wellington would be appreciated. Special thanks to Hospice Wellington for their exceptional care to Mom.
