Of Guelph, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 15, 2022 with family by his side, at the age of 84.

John was loved by his wife, Lois (married 62 years), and his four children, Randy (Cheryl), Kent (deceased), Janet (Jon), Leah (Jason). He will be missed by his nine grandchildren, Jessica, Nicole, Nathan, Ryan, Madison, Colton, Kassidy, Abby, and Garrett.

John was a very logical man who was hard working; often holding down multiple jobs to support family. He was strong, stubborn, brave and was always right (at least he thought so ðŸ™‚).  He was a fire fighter for 30 years and was a leader/captain for Guelph Fire.  He was always cool under pressure and helped so many people in crisis and life or death situations.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling and walking in the northern bush.  When he wasn’t saving people he was always concerned for animal welfare - feeding, fixing, rescuing birds, bunnies, deer, squirrels and more.  He was always a dog lover and has cared for, loved and rescued many dogs in his life. He had a special spot in his heart for Grizzy, Peggy and Molly.  He supported many extended family members living in his home over the years and always helped whoever needed it - fixing things, driving people around, helping move…)

Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to your local Humane Society would be appreciated by the Davison Family.

A tree will be planted in memory of John A. Davison in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
