DEMMONS, John Henry

Posted

Demmons John MM

It is with the deepest sadness; we announce the sudden passing of our dad John on the morning of August 8th, 2022 at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital at the age of 71.

He will be deeply missed by his three daughters Amanda Demmons, Sarah Demmons (Brandon) & Jessica French (Al "Eep")

Forever loved & missed already by his Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren Rebecca, Bailey (predeceased), Paula, Curtis, Kori, Jewelyca, Fletcher, Cyrus, Annabella, Gage, Isaac, and Gemaa.

He is the baby brother to his siblings Joan Wilson, Norma Jean Demmons, and David Demmons.

He will be fondly remembered by Sarah Morley and missed by many nieces & nephews and extended family & friends.

All who knew our dad knew he was a hard worker and loved being a loader operator, he enjoyed his Tim Hortons dates with his friends and watching car racing, old movies and sports on tv. He was definitely set in his ways, and I think enjoyed being Mr Grumpy (but we could always seem to get a laugh out of him). He had a heart of gold and would do what he could for anyone he knew.

Dad is also predeceased by his first born Grandson MJ (Michael John) who he loved & adored, knowing they're reunited puts some peace in our hearts.

On Monday August 15th please join us to say your final goodbyes.

Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Monday, August 15th, 2022 from 11 am-1 pm. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1pm. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. All are welcome back to the funeral after the cemetery for a reception in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre to share in some stories, laughs, and memories.

Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Canadian Mental Health, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or the Ronald McDonald House.

A tree will be planted in memory of John H. Demmons in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
