Dorothy Dennis. The remaining family is sad to see him go: children

and Paul Dennis (Nancy) and sons-in-law John McConville and Ken Haugh.
Doug leaves behind his grandchildren: Tanya, Ryan, Aaron, Taya, Marcy,
Greg, Alisha, Amber, Jen, Chris, Brittney, Ashley, Kyle, Nicole, Colin
and Aiden and also, by 18 great-grandchildren. Doug is survived by his
brother William and his sister Peg (Merv), his sister-in-law Kaye Dennis
and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Len and Marg Rainey. He was
predeceased by his brother Donald (2009).

Doug called Guelph his home since his early school days. After serving 20
years in the Canadian Air Force (following his time during the war), he
returned to Guelph. He worked at Fiberglas before retiring. He and his
wife Jeanette loved to travel and they always felt fortunate that they had
good health to do so.

Please join the family for a Celebration of Life at the Elliott Community
Centre, The Elliott, 170 Metcalfe St., Guelph, the place that Doug
called home for the past 13 years, on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 1 p.m.
A memorial service has been planned to take place at Our Lady of Loretto
Military Chapel, Edmonton, AB on Saturday, July 5th, 2019.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to
the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated by the
family. Cards are available at the funeral home (519-822-4731).
