It is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre, Guelph, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 27, 2016, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Italia for 60 wonderful years. Loving Papa to Bruno (Queade), and Elsa (Kevin). Cherished Nonno and “Shosho” of Aaron (Connie), Morag, Andrew and Juliana. Adoring Bisnonno to Liam and Lucia. Survived by his two brothers Nicola (Lucia) and Oscar (Iolanda). He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A special thank you to all the staff, nurses and doctors at St. Joseph’s Health for their kindness, compassion and care as well as Mahvash, his PSW who looked after him for many years. Biase and his wife Italia immigrated to Canada in 1958. As a stone mason, he devoted over 30 years of his life to the development of communities throughout Ontario. Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, where visitation will take place on Monday, August 29, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Family Vigil will be held in our chapel on Monday at 8:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph, on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 10:00 am. Interment at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
