It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Donna Mae Diebolt (Brittain) at her home on Saturday, March 9, 2024 in her 93rd year. She was the beloved wife of Victor Lawrence Diebolt for 57 years. She was the dear mother of Lori from Elmira, Evan (Deborah) and Avery (Lisa) all from Guelph. Predeceased by her son Tim (1981). Dear Nana to Shinea, Dylan and Harley. Dear sister to Grant Brittain of Lethbridge, Alberta.
Donna was born in Blair, Ontario on July 8, 1931. Donna and Vic operated th Commercial Hotel in Maryhill from 1968 – 1975. After retiring from the commercial hotel, Donna enjoyed working in her flower beds, taking long walks in the country and continued with her painting. She volunteered her time at the Guelph Evergreen Senior Centre by sharing her artistic ability of water colour painting.
Private cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes at Parkview Cemetery, Kitchener at a later date.
