It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Heather Dodd-Taman on May 7, 2023, age 73, after two solid battles against Lymphoma. She passed peacefully with her family and dear friends at her side.

Beloved wife to Peter Taman. Loving mother of Chris (Jasmine Stofast) and Derek (Sylvia Comacchio). Cherished grandmother to Lily Bea and Charlotte. Dear sister of Joan Mahar (Mike), Terri Scallon (Dwane Atkinson), and Vidas Vapsva. Lifelong Friend of Steve Foster and Laura Brennan. Predeceased by her parents Beatrice and Carroll Scallon and her sister Carroll Vapsva as well as countless fur babies. She will be missed by many friends and extended family.

Heather lived most of her adult life in the small town of Hillsburg, where she raised the boys and ran her chip wagon Mr. Tasty's. She eventually retired and moved to Guelph to be closer to her beloved granddaughter and partner in crime Lily Bea.

Heather was a collector of all things old. She spent countless hours painting and refinishing antique pieces of furniture and accumulating Knickknacks. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, and she would never pass up an opportunity to spend time with them.

A heartfelt thank you to the countless friends and neighbors that have helped Heather, especially in the last two years. We could not have done it without all your love and support. A special thank you to the staff at Guelph General Hospital, especially the step-down team and Nurse Laura, your care and compassion did not go unnoticed.

"If there ever comes a day where we can't be together, keep me in your heart.
I'll stay there forever."
