Mike passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at Guelph General Hospital on Sunday, April 24 2022 at the age of 57.
Loving husband of Lisa and proud father of Rebecca and Bryce. Dear brother of Bill Dollery (Penny) and the late Mickey Montin (survived by Clem), and brother-in-law of Lorie Feil (Mark), Jeff Thomson and Scott Thomson (Ann). Mike will be sadly missed by his best friends and family pets Bobby, Norman, Maple and Violet.
Mike spent the last 25 years working as a Welder, and eventually, driving a transport truck. He enjoyed the many hours he spent behind the wheel of his big truck, "the HINO." He brought an undeniable level of fun and light heartedness to the work place each day and will be thoroughly missed.
Mike had many hobbies over his 57 years. They ranged from golf, gardening, bowling and most importantly building models, and maintaining his impressive salt water fish tank. He always put 90 percent effort in, 100 percent of the time. Mike will always be remembered and memorialized by his closest friends and family doing those things that made him, him.
Anyone who knew Mike knew that whenever he was around, there would never be a shortage of laughter. Mike was a man with a big personality, and an even bigger sense of humor. His legacy will be easily carried on through a big belly laugh. Even through his hardest times, he was cracking jokes and keeping everyone around him smiling ear, to ear.
A visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 2723 Victoria St N, Breslau, on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Memory Gardens the next day, Thursday at 2:00 pm followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Mike to the Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated.
