Michael Wayne Drescher, aged 39, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 having never recovered from a critical event suffered on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. A private service was held in hospital at his bedside, to be followed by cremation.
Michael is survived by his beloved son Brayden Drescher, his Mother Gail, Father Gary, his Sister Shelley and her partner Ray, as well as many Cousins, Aunts and Uncles.
Mike led a troubled life in recent years, but the two constants in his life were the unwavering love and support from his Mom, and the love, care and special bond he had with his son Brayden, who he always had access to, thanks to Brayden's Mom Nicole.
His selflessness will live on, in the many who will have new hope of a better life, through his organ donations.
Many Thanks to all first responders, emergency staff and ICU staff of GGH. Special thanks to Adrianne and Jen, 5th floor nurses, and social worker Anne, who all provided such excellent and compassionate care, of both Mike and the surviving members of his immediate family. They are true heroes in these difficult times.
