EBY, Robin Victor Scott

It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robin Victor Scott Eby on Monday, August 29, 2022 after a long battle with lung cancer. Beloved husband of Donna (Legault) Eby, and loving father of Lisa (Norm Fish), Amanda (Keith Moreau), Melissa (Warren Hutton). Robin was the proud Papa of Cody and Kaitlyn Fish. He was the brother of Todd (Ursula), Kim (Lynda), Rene (Sandy), Cindy, Nita (Jim Fergusson), Donn (Nancy), Tawn (Anne), Monty (Sandra) and Kris (Stephanie) and brother-in-law of Sharon Legault (Paul Fitchett), Jim Legault (Cindy Hiscock) and of the late Christine Legault (2022). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Foster and Mary (Mohr) Eby.

Robin had a long time career as a tool and die designer and recently as a maintenance worker at The Village of Riverside Glen. He loved his old time music, was known as “Rockin Robin” on 98.5 (CKWR) in the late 1970s. Robin worked security at Oktoberfest at the Concordia Club where he met one of his idols, Ronnie Hawkins (The Hawk). He was a Jack-of-all-trades and known at home as “Mr Fix it”. Robin loved to travel and would have liked to have done more. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be dearly missed.

We would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses in Emergency and Ambulatory Care at the Guelph General Hospital for all of their great care.

Private cremation has taken place. The family will receive their friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
