It is with very heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Sheri Edwards at the young age of 53. Proud and devoted mother to Zakari and Casey. Treasured daughter to Agnes Edwards and the late Jack Edwards. Cherished sister to Lisa Moore (Al). Beloved Aunt to Justin and Cody Moore. She will be dearly missed by her Aunt Teresa, her cousins, friends and extended family.

Sheri used to be the bright star in every room. Her smile was infectious and everyone loved to be around her. A friend fondly remembered and shared that the first time she saw Sheri she was the most beautiful girl she had ever seen. Zakari and Casey were her whole life, they will miss their mom dearly. Her favourite thing to do was listen to music and attend concerts.

Sheri fought and lost a very long and hard battle with drug addiction. She could not beat the demons, although she tried so hard. Over the years she conquered the addiction many times and would find happiness for a short while. We were all so proud of her. Ultimately, the strength of the addiction overpowered her and prevailed. Our family wishes with all our hearts that love was enough to save someone, as so many people cared so deeply about her, but this time it was not. Our family will forever have a hole in it that will never go away. The monster of addiction sadly won.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where the family invites friends and relatives to join for a visitation on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm followed by a service beginning in the chapel at 5:00pm. For those who cannot attend, the family will receive guests at Lisa's house following the Funeral Service for a reception.

Zak and Casey have strongly requested that anyone who contributed to Sheri’s addiction, although you may have loved her as well, please be respectful and know that you are not welcome to attend the ceremony. They would like this opportunity to remember their mom without any additional stress.

As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
