Arlette was born in Limoges, France where she married Henry in 1957. In 1959 they immigrated to Canada together and settled in Exeter where she lived for 56 years. In 2015, Arlette moved to Guelph to be closer to family after being diagnosed with Myelodysplasia. She loved her family deeply and was very proud of her daughter and many grandchildren. Arlette loved animals all her life and leaves behind her dog Mia.

Visitation will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Wednesday, January 16th, 2019 from 11 a.m. -1 p.m., immediately followed by a chapel service and then, by food and refreshments. Interment in Exeter Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will be held in Exeter in the Spring for those unable to attend on Wednesday.

The family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff at Grand River Hospital Cancer Centre where Arlette received regular transfusions, to her PSW Tish whom she adored and to the Guelph General Hospital staff who cared for her in her final hours.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Children First Fund, Family & Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington County, PAWS-United or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.

Arlette was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She will live on in our hearts and we feel blessed to have had her in our lives.
