It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Anne Embro on Monday, February 7, 2022, at the age of 79 at the Guelph General Hospital.

Dear daughter of the late Edward and Lillian Jay. Predeceased by brothers Jimmy and Garfield of Brantford, Ontario. Beloved mother of April Belcastro, Kim Embro, Kathy Carpino (Joe), Angela Embro (John), Tammy Beliski (John). Grandmother of Jamie and April Belcastro, Jeri Lynn and Kristopher Finora, Renee Carpino, Tyler, Justin and the late Jessie Beliski, and great grandmother to Olivia, Cole, Zoey, Skyler, Isabella, Jace, Madison, Kali, Jack and Levi and her fur babies Webster and Gracie. Loved by her extended Embro family.

Mom was a very strong and resilient woman who always had an open-door policy to all her daughters friends. She loved to dance, garden, and known as “Dragon lady” online by many. Mom had a great sense of humor, and in her later days she loved watching old classic movies and playing word games.

Mom was a very dedicated member of 34 years at the 11th Field Regiment where she was well known as the Den mother and problem solver for many of the young reserves at the unit.

Special thanks to Dr. Hoey, Dr. McKenzie, all the nurses in Day Surgery, PACU and ICU for their care of mom.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com. A celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to Chalmers Pantry Shelf and Wyndham House.

A tree will be planted in memory of Anne E. Embro in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
