January 17, 1931 ~ December 16, 2023
We are saddened to announce the death of Ralph at Hospice Wellington n December 16, 2023. He didn’t die on the golf course, but he had a great life.
Ralph spent his entire life in the city of Guelph. He was delighted when both his grandchildren graduated from the same high school that he attended (GCVI). He was a proud alumnus of the University of Guelph. Ralph was the founder of The Farley Group, which continues to be an industry leader in air-supported structures across the world. Ralph cherished every friendship he made through his working life. Many of these friendships have spanned decades. I guess it’s finally time to retire.
Ralph is predeceased by his first wife Beth (1958) and is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sheila. He will be missed by his son Michael Farley, son Ian Farley (Teresa), daughter Lynn Stone (Paul), and his sister Doris Milliken of Elmira. Ralph was extremely proud of his two grandchildren Dale Stone (Julie) of Port Coquitlam, BC and Erica Stone (Allen) of Waterdown, who have grown into such beautiful and kind people.
There are many people that deserve our gratitude during this hard time, but we’d like to especially thank John Simpell for his friendship and support over the years.
There will be no funeral. The family will celebrate Ralph’s life privately. Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com).
Please reach deep into your pockets and give what you can to Hospice Wellington. Our community benefits greatly from the wonderful people at Hospice.
A tree will be planted in memory of Ralph A. Farley in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
