 January 27, 1943 – May 26, 2022

Arturo Favaro of Guelph Ontario, born in Casacorba Italy, unexpectedly passed away on May 26, 2022, in his 80th year; much too soon. Arturo will be enormously missed by his loving wife Germana (Maristella) Parisotto of almost 56 years. Beloved father of Gabriella (Thomas Randell), Eugenio (Jenny Anazco), and Monica (Christopher DaMaren). Cherished Nonno to his adoring grandchildren Cassaundra, Marco, Angelo, Mateo, Domenic, Massimo, Claudio and Luca. Arturo will not be forgotten by his brother Luciano (Nancy) and predeceased sister Irma. Predeceased by his loving parents Guido and Agnese. Loved son-in-law to the late Maria and Ernesto Parisotto. Respected brother-in-law to predeceased: Eugenia (Natalino); Adriana; Luciana (Sergio); Clara (survived Bruno); survived Alberto (survived Lionella) and Renato (survived Annamaria).

At the age of 18, it was love at first sight when Germana captured his eye and stole his heart, where they became soul mates. They came to Canada on their honeymoon and built a beautiful family and life for each other. He was her rock and mountain; he was everything to her. They made and shared beautiful memories and will always have true love for each other.

Arturo was a humble man and a friend to many, always thought of others before himself and was always willing to help. His life and work experiences provided great advice where everyone respected his guidance. He took the time to listen to everyone with an open heart and ear. Arturo was a hard worker; he instilled in his family to ‘always do the best you can’. He enjoyed working in his garden taking care of his many vegetables. He was extremely proud of his three plus pound tomatoes where there was more than enough to feed the family for Sunday dinners. His passion of making his own wine and salami was a work of art! He proudly won many family wine contests, holding his trophy high. His favorite past time was playing cards and bocce where his questionable trick shot was where he would run while throwing the ball.

Arturo was a family man, a wonderful father, and the heart of the family. A man of few words, yet his presence was always known. He brought many smiles to his family and made sure his family was always taken care of. He was a great role model for his grandchildren, by living a life of love, respect, strong family values, dedication, and hard work. He will be deeply missed by his family, and he will always be in our hearts. We love you Arturo, dad and Nonno.

We wish for you to remember him in these moments as we honour his request for a private funeral on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, or any other charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated.
