Of Guelph passed away on March 7, 2020 at the age of 91 after a long-fought battle with Alzheimer’s. Predeceased by her husband Lloyd (1999) and sons, Lionel “Brud” (2007) and Larry (2009) and great-grandchild Devellyn (2002). She will be sadly missed by her daughters Linda Bard and Cathy Ferneyhough-Moffit; grandchildren Charlene Bard (Ravi Bhatia), Wendie Bennett (Ron), Michael Moffit, Sara Moffit, Lee Ferneyhough (Christa) and Monique Ferneyhough; Great-grandchildren Madison, Megan, Keenan, Reese, Brooklyn and Oliver and Great-Great grandchildren Isabella and Nicholas. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 1-2 pm. A service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday March 13th at 2pm. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Memorial contributions to The Salvation Army or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Joyce Ferneyhough in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
